Wrestling Legend Sika Anoa'i Passes Away at 79
WWE Hall of Famer and Father of Roman Reigns
The wrestling world is in mourning today following the passing of Sika Anoa'i, a WWE Hall of Famer and the father of current WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Anoa'i died peacefully on June 25 at the age of 79 years old.
Anoa'i, who was born in American Samoa in 1945, was best known for his time in WWE as one-half of the legendary tag team The Wild Samoans. Along with his brother Afa, Anoa'i won the WWE World Tag Team Championship twice and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
In addition to his wrestling career, Anoa'i was also a respected member of the Anoa'i family, a legendary wrestling dynasty that has produced numerous stars over the years. His son, Roman Reigns, is currently one of the biggest stars in WWE and has held the Universal Championship for over 700 days.
